AROUND THE BODY in 12 INSTALLMENTS for Everyone
Spend 20-30 minutes a month and see your body in a whole new way!
Each month, you receive a video targeting a particular body issue. By the end of the year, in just 20-30 minutes a month, you will have covered the entire body, learning exercises to improve alignment, core support, and much more. The videos are broken up into manageable segments, so it's easy to find specific exercises later.
This video series begins with foundational exercises, and the sequence of the videos is carefully designed to build your awareness, flexibility, and strength. Topics follow the schedule below.
Here's what current subscribers are saying:
"When you got to the point of releasing the muscle instead of stretching it, Wow! That for now was probably the most important lesson for me."

"The video showed me that I still tend to use the wrong muscles for support, and that there is muscle tension I didn't even know I had! I am so glad your videos show me not only how to release those tight muscles (I am still stunned!), but also how to strengthen and coordinate the other muscles that ought to be doing more of the work!"

VIDEO 1: Feet and Legs--the Foundation of Your Performing Body --- Feet and legs provide support for both the body and the breath in all your standing activities. Learn Ruth's unique exercises specifically designed to release overworking muscles, strengthen underworking muscles, and engage your feet and legs optimally, resulting in improved posture, alignment, and stability.
VIDEO 2: Alignment and Posture --- See and feel immediate changes in the power, ease, and consistency of your movements by improving your alignment and postural support. Exercises address postural issues such as: forward head position, tense or drooping shoulders, collapsed chest, pronation/supination, and hyperextension (swayback).
VIDEO 3: Jaw --- Misplaced jaw tension is linked to many physical ailments, including headaches and TMJS (Temporomadibular Joint Syndrome). However, sustaining jaw release requires addressing the whole body. Jaw release and movement is affected not only by the jaw itself, but also by the feet, pelvis, and head. In this video, alignment exercises and massage techniques (including intra-oral massage) promote jaw release and freedom of movement.
VIDEO 4: Tongue --- Misplaced tongue tension affects not only articulation but also neck tension and breathing. In this video, release and massage maneuvers (including intra-oral massage), as well as innovative usage exercises, create a more flexible and responsive tongue, and a more released neck. Muscles addressed include the hyoglossus and genioglossus.
VIDEO 5: Core Support --- In this video, exercises improve both strength and coordination of the core support muscles in the body. Discover what Ruth calls "effortless effort,” by learning to increase power and strength without creating debilitating holding and pushing in your muscles.
VIDEO 6: Pelvic Powerhouse--the Seat of Your Power --- Exercises to strengthen and improve coordination of pelvic support for breath, power, and resonance.
VIDEO 7: Connecting Core Support and the Pelvic Powerhouse to the Whole Body --- When your movements are supported by your core strength, every activity—from sitting in a chair to competing in athletics—becomes easier and more powerful. Learn to use your core strength and pelvic coordination optimally, connecting all that power to your every move.
VIDEO 8: Breathing With Your Whole Body --- Every physical activity—including sleeping—involves the breath. When your breath is optimal, everything else becomes simpler. However, to breathe optimally requires coordinating and engaging muscles all over the body. The exercises in this video teach optimal skeletal support and muscle engagement because it takes your whole body to support your optimal performance.
VIDEO 9: Spine and Ribcage --- A healthy spine is, literally, the “backbone” of an optimally functioning body. First, learn to release the tension you are holding in the muscles of the ribcage. Then, exercises for strength and improved engagement of the muscles of the spine improve posture and create support for the ribcage. Releasing misplaced tension and “holding” in the spine and ribcage also creates freedom and expansion in the breath.
VIDEO 10: Shoulder Girdle —- Misplaced tension in the upper back, shoulders, and arms can compromise our ability to do everyday activities. A tight shoulder girdle also affects the spine and ribcage, impeding proper breathing and flexibility. In this video, exercises release long-held, “crunchy” tension in the shoulder blades and joints, and create flexible movement between the shoulder girdle and the upper ribcage.
VIDEO 11: Head and Neck, including "TEXT NECK" --- Our daily phone and computer habits take a toll on the muscles of our neck, and we have come to accept neck pain as “normal.” Instead, learn to support your head properly, with both skeletal and muscular support. Improper alignment of the head compromises the shoulders, arms, ribcage, and the entire spine, resulting in debilitating back pain. In this video, both releasing and strengthening exercises are employed, resulting in improved posture and alignment, head position, and reduction—even elimination— of pain.
VIDEO 12: Moving With Your Whole Body --- This video teaches a global awareness of how our skeletal and muscular systems interact in optimal movement. Learn to use your body more efficiently and with less stress. Both high stress and everyday movements—such as walking, exercising, getting in and out of a chair or car—will be addressed. Exercises are easy to remember and incorporate into your daily activities. This is a Comprehensive exercise sequence for the whole body, incorporating all the information you've learned this year. for the whole body, incorporating all the information you've learned this year.
VIDEO 13: Going Deeper --- Your subscription continues with a deeper look at each of these body issues and more.
